MAGOZ
The endless quest

Magoz’s work is driven by curiosity and learning. During the last five years, he has been traveling around the world as a nomad, creating illustrations and animations, writing on his blog and building online tools for the illustration community. The endless quest is a walkthrough of his work, interests and findings.

PAOLO TASSINARI
26 x 62

Through a series of editorial projects by Tassinari/Vetta, Paolo Tassinari will explain the difference between design and creation: how every graphic design project finds reason in the restrictions around it; how troubles can turn into opportunities; how ambiguity is useful for the communication. And how a designer, sometimes, feels the need to jump that fence.

RENE WAWRZKIEWICZ
Symbol to Logo: Polish Graphic Marks 1945-1969, 2000-2015

Symbol to Logo comes as a reconstruction of The 1st and The 2nd Polish Exhibitions of Graphic Symbols that were held in 1969 and 2015. Rene will present the unknown history of logo design in Communist Poland as a reminder of the forgotten stars of Polish design. This report will show how logos and visual identities have changed since the post-war years to the present days, evolving from individual symbols to complex visual identities, in a metaphor of the history of Polish society over the past seventy years.

INFOGRAPHICS GROUP – SVEN EHMANN
Enabling Knowledge – visual storytelling through infographics and dataviz

In the age of fake news, info overflow and data drama, infographic artists help us to better understand what matters. With the mindset of journalist, these visual storytellers research, structure and transform their findings into diagrams, maps, illustrations, data visualizations or 3D models. Sven will talk about recent developments, best practices and upcoming challenges in the field, with examples ranging from magazine and book contents to digital and animation, from real exhibition spaces to augmented reality.
