SPECIAL EFFECTS – Roberto Biadi and Lucrezia Viperina on exhibition

On the occasion of Graphic Days’ In the City, add editore opens the doors of the publishing house at 85 Piazza Carlo Felice in Turin.

Images bring with them a language that seems within everyone’s reach, but in reality this is not the case: “looking at them” is not the same thing as “reading them.” So we thought we would pause to explicate the relationships and cross-references between text and image, and we thought we would do it through two different ways of using images, an illustrator, Lucrezia Viperina, and an animator and cartoonist, Roberto Biadi.

Lucrezia Viperina since childhood inhabits a world handed down to her from a family of artists, filled with imagination and creativity. Her collaborations include Laboutik, Kartell, Acqua di Parma.

Roberto Biadi works transversely through different languages and a variety of techniques, searching for narratives and the point of view from which to explore them. His short films H and Shunga have received awards and mentions in several festivals.

This will be done through a double event: an exhibition of Roberto Biadi’s boards and animations, an exhibition of Lucrezia Viperina’s illustrations and creations, and a talk among the artists led by Stefania Soma (Petunia Ollister).

Opening and talk: Friday h 18:00
Exhibition: May 24-May 31
Public opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:0 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
