Every project is a delicate balance between intention and the unexpected. It begins with an idea and a set of initial rules, but then something changes: a mistake, a constraint or an unforeseen deviation. It is precisely in these moments that a project discovers new directions.

Work in Progress is a workshop that explores the design process as an open and constantly evolving space. Starting from an archive of images, shapes, textures and printed materials, participants will be guided in creating an original graphic composition.

Through a series of design constraints introduced throughout the workshop, the initial generative chaos will gradually evolve into a coherent system of design rules, demonstrating that meaningful design does not emerge from a predetermined order, but from an ongoing process of selection, decision-making and adaptation.

Each participant will produce a Risograph print that is not only a final outcome, but also the visible trace of a design process in which every decision reshapes the rules of the game, and every rule opens up new possibilities.

What will you learn?
The workshop provides practical tools for approaching a design project when the direction is still unclear, transforming initial disorder into a coherent system of decisions and design rules.
