A participatory communication project for the 430th anniversary of Fondazione Ufficio Pio, which transforms people’s words into a public narrative about change.

Social Design
VOLTA PAGINA is a social design project promoted by Fondazione Ufficio Pio on the occasion of its 430th anniversary, curated by Graphic Days®, Quattrolinee, and Print Club Torino. It was created with the aim of giving space and visibility to the voices of people involved in the Foundation’s programs. By listening to and collecting 324 real testimonials, the project builds a shared narrative that invites reflection on change as a concrete possibility, on choices and new beginnings, and on the idea of starting a new chapter in one’s own story.
VOLTA PAGINA takes shape in public spaces through a series of typographic posters and urban billboards, which transform the words of 215 participants into a collective visual narrative. Ten keywords—encounter, time, change, voice, future, desire, trust, family, home, children—summarize desires, fears, choices, and new beginnings, becoming the common thread of a public story about change.
VOLTA PAGINA is also a digital archive: a space where you can listen to fragments of real and intimate stories that make up a shared emotional map; an atlas of what it means to turn the page and imagine a new chapter in your life.

The project was presented at the event celebrating the 430th anniversary of the Fondazione Ufficio Pio at Gallerie d’Italia, attended by President Sergio Mattarella. For the occasion, VOLTA PAGINA expanded into an immersive exhibition: a digital installation was created and projected onto large screens, allowing visitors to listen to some of the original audio recordings of the interviews, bringing back the voices and emotions of the people involved.
The interviews were also presented in text form: a participatory installation invited the public to stop, read, and choose a testimony. The suspended pages could be taken away, activating a direct relationship with the stories and transforming the installation into a metaphor for continuous and shared change.
Print Club Torino contributed to the project by producing the physical media: the visual identity and content of the project were adapted to create a notebook given to the event audience and a special box set containing 10 screen prints of the VOLTA PAGINA posters, which was given to President Sergio Mattarella and other authorities attending the event.
