Pier Giuseppe Giorcelli (Zorkmade)‘s first approach to Urban Art takes place during high school, in the middle 1990′s, when he is charmed by tags and throw-ups found in his hometown. Influenced by many Italian writers, he starts experimenting new letterings, designs, geometrical forms but also realistic characters and cartoons.
Zorkmade finds new interest in design and visual design, taking part to different events and live performances, such as: “Meeting of Style” in Padua and “Street Attitudes”,  “Picturin” and “Paratissima” in Turin.
Back to Turin, He develops a more personal creativity and starts to apply his lettering study on a new support: canvas.
Taking inspiration from Action painting techniques he turns his definite, clear signs into raw gestures, characterized by drippings and spots. To give his works a more “street-like” identity Zorkmade keeps sprays as basic elements and approaches new techniques, using old jute sacks to obtain dirty and raw surfaces, characterized by strong thickness and paint smell.

Zorkmade will performe as a street artist thanks to the collaboration with Street Alps Festival.
