INK33

Sat. 13 OCT h.11:00 - 23:00
Sun. 14 OCT h.10:00 - 20:00

INK33 is an engraving, printing and illustration lab, where techniques are taught through focused workshops in order to enhance the participants’ expressiveness. Art and experimentation become indivisible, blending virtuously present and past. Based in historic centre of Ravenna, the lab aims to give impetus to the ancient engraving techniques, making it modern and accessible. INK33 teaches metal, linoleum and wood engraving, with forays into calligraphy and book binding. Held by a team of master engravers, the workshops aim to look into these classic techniques, talking to painters, illustrators, sculptors and students but also to everyone who wants to further explore the topic or just to unleash their creativity. Enrico Rambaldi (Ravenna, 1970), after graduating at Scuola di Fumetto in Milan, he works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer for advertising agencies and publishers. He illustrates children’s books for the publisher Longo and he makes graphic project and illustrations for the game Wherewolf, showed up at Lucca Comics and Games 2012. From 2003 to 2012 he is creative director in the agency EGO immaginare/comunicare/creare. From 2009 to 2011 he is part of the board of Associazione illustratori of Milan, coordinating its classes in Ravenna and Bologna, and in 2014 he starts INK33. He took part in several collective exhibitions, taking a solo exhibition in Ravenna in 2015: Foglie, ossa e ali di farfalla.
