Originally from Alsace in France, Olivier Mattia, aka 0xma, was immersed in the world of art from an early age by his father, a painter, and by his mother, a kindergarten teacher. He grew up visiting exhibitions, galleries, and museums on his weekends and childhood vacations.
Although drawing, painting and graphic design were early interests for him, Oxma turned to scientific studies and a few years later became laboratory manager in a company that specialized in industrial filtration systems.
