혼돈 HONDON – The Korean Dis-order. A focus on the history of Hangeul

One hundred years after Hangeul Day (한글날, 1926), this exhibition traces the origins of Hangeul, a radical act of design created to bring order to a Korea where Chinese characters had made writing inaccessible to most people.
A circular exhibition route traces its origins and historical role, using contemporary graphic design works to show how these characters are now a source of creative disorder.
Developed by sixeleven, with support from the King Sejong Institute in Turin and the work of Lift-OFF, a collective based in Seoul (2017).
