Un playground per barriera

Un Playground per Barriera is a project born out of a collaboration between Graphic Days® and the Scuola Primaria Statale “Gian Enrico Pestalozzi”, with the aim of engaging children, families and the local community through creative activities and shared experiences.
In the weeks leading up to the festival, classes take part in workshops and activities, including one led by the Dutch collective Bomba Design. The programme begins on 14 September with an exhibition curated by Posterheroes at the Pestalozzi School, dedicated to the themes of learning and the importance of making mistakes, and on 15 October with the opening of the exhibition A Modo Loro. What Animals Teach Us, an art installation created and donated to the Scuola dell’Infanzia Teresa Sarti Strada.
The project culminates on Sunday 25 October, from 10.00 to 19.00, on the section of Via Banfo between Via Cervino and Via Valprato, which will be transformed into a playground open to all, featuring exhibitions, workshops, games and free creative activities for children and families.
At 6.00 pm, the day will come alive with a large collective parade, open to everyone and designed as a final moment of gathering, play and sharing. Masks, banners and drawings created during the workshops will be paraded through the streets to the rhythm of the sound compositions created by local young people.
The parade will be accompanied by music produced during Dolci rumori dalla città, a free workshop on sound experimentation and digital sampling aimed at secondary school pupils (aged 10–14). During the session, which will take place on Wednesday 21 October from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm at the Circolo Anatra Zoppa, 5 Via Courmayeur, participants will learn to use professional software to record and manipulate everyday sounds, transforming traffic, building sites and urban chaos into a genuine electronic composition. No prior musical experience is required; all you need is a curiosity to explore and give the city a new rhythm. The project is organised by Pixel’s Smoothies, in collaboration with Anatra Zoppa, Monstera Futura APS and Graphic Days®.
