Thanks to the support of the CivlCa call of the San Paolo Company Foundation, we have developed an innovative civic education course to sensitize young people to the issues of active citizenship.
The term “Yourb” is a contraction of ‘young, you and urban‘, three words that help to understand the objectives of the initiative which invites new generations to look at their city from an original point of view to imagine new scenarios for the future, through the active involvement of its citizens. Community, territory and technology are the themes around which the project revolves.
Yourb – urban innovators is a project of Print Club Torino, Graphic Days® in collaboration with: Plug, CREO Ars Captiva Association, Foundation Contrada Torino Onlus.

In the context of the CivlCa 2019 call of the San Paolo Company Foundation.
The first edition took place in the school year 2020-2021 and involved 5 classes from 3 institutes: Aldo Passoni Artistic High School, IIS Bodoni-Paravia and the IPS Albe Steiner where the methodology was experimented. A methodological toolkit was derived and refined within the Social Design Lab in a co-design logic, to facilitate the replicability of the initiative.

From 10th to 12th September the project was presented to the public in the Creativity Hub of Torino Creativa. We presented the project through an exhibition and we developed a broader reflection on the issues at the center of the course through informal meetings with some cultural realities of the territory: Bike Pride, FROM – the strategic and creative agency that carries out city-making projects and initiatives, Strabarriere – an independant online space created with a purely informative intent for the Turin suburbs and Milano Mediterranea – a participatory art center in the Giambellino district.
Yourb is an innovative civic education course to sensitize young people to the issues of active citizenship, an invitation to the new generations to look at their city from an original point of view, to imagine new scenarios for the future through the active involvment of citizens.
