The project

A calendar of appointments spread throughout the city and structured in two evenings, May 9 and 16, 2025, within the framework of the Graphic Days® festival; the appointments are curated by local design studios, but also schools, galleries, associations and represents a window on the eclectic nature of Turin’s creative scene.

On Friday 9 and 16 May, Graphic Days® transformed Turin into a widespread stage with In the City, two evenings that enlivened the city with 31 events curated by 60 organisations, including design studios, associations and local artists. Exhibitions, talks, performances and workshops offered the public the opportunity to enter the places where Turin’s visual communication is born, crossing neighbourhoods such as San Salvario, Barriera di Milano, Vanchiglia and Crocetta, until reaching the municipality of Settimo Torinese.

Itinerary 1: Collaboration

Portraits, signs and graphic interventions were interwoven thanks to the participation of the audience, resulting in works in continuous transformation. An exploration of collaboration as a shared gesture, capable of generating connections, shared imaginaries and new possibilities.

Itinerary 2: Inclusion

Design became a language for interrogating identity, gender and inclusivity. Through images, words and visual narratives, reflections on feminism and representations emerged, revealing the communicative power of design in generating awareness and transformation.

 

Studios: Calibro zero, Collettivo Freeco, Pangramma, Scuola Internazionale di Comics.

Itinerary 3: Relationship

Relationship was investigated as a space for dialogue with self, other and emotions. Between visual and performative languages, the works opened up reflections on identity, affect and emotional connection, inviting the audience to an intimate and shared discussion.

Itinerary 4: Language

Love was explored through multiple languages, including irony, visual codes and pop culture references. Affective symbols were transformed into participatory and original experiences, capable of activating new looks and unexpected connections.

Itinerary 5: Graphic design

An intimate and humorous look at the daily routine of the creative profession unveiled habits, passions and oddities that define the designer’s work. Between talks and workshops, the audience was invited to reflect on the practices, values and imaginaries that shape the profession.

Itinerary 6: Connection

Connections between people, languages, technologies and environments have guided a pathway that interweaves natural and artificial. Immersive experiences opened new perspectives on the way we inhabit the world, suggesting hybrid and conscious visions of the present.
